- I began winding pickups a few years ago after winding a set for myself. I enjoy the process and trying to find just the right formula to bring a guitar to life. did he not say that it was a rickenbacker transonic?
the amp that jimmy page used on some tracks....
No idea why I blanked on that. I know Page used them for an early tour in 1969 but they were said to have been left behind. But I do recall a studio picture where someone commented that there was a transonic cab there.
