- I began winding pickups a few years ago after winding a set for myself. I enjoy the process and trying to find just the right formula to bring a guitar to life. At the same time I started to really explore the roots of the music I grew up with. I started this blog to document my discoveries in pickup winding, tone and the blues.

Which kit did you buy?
I purchased the sIII kit from Trinity amps. It actually just arrived today. I'll get the head box from them as well.
Keep us posted on how the amp build goes - I"m really interested. I'd like to try building one of these kits at some point. I tried one of the hand-wired Marshall 18 watt combos and it sounded fantastic. Great break up without being deafening.
I was missing a couple of resistors but I have them now. Should be completed by early next week. Now I just need the head cabinet.
