Plain enamel wire

I recently lucked in to a nice supply of old formula plain enamel magnet wire. It's a beautiful dark purple, almost black, and smells like magic marker. I've wound a few sets with it now and it really goes on nice. Looks the part as well, much better than the newer plain enamel formulas.

A 'burst!! This is the first picture I have seen of Marriott with a 'burst. And a beautiful one at that. Double whites in both positions. I ran across this picture on one of the forums and thought it should be shared.
